WHAT IS IT?

Injury & Health Management Solutions, Inc. (IHMS) is a profitable and successful rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health promotion business.  Incorporated as an "S-Corporation" in the State of Vermont in February of 2003, IHMS has since grown into what it is today.  Providing trademarked and specialized services, our expert team of trained and certified physical therapists, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers works with clients and companies to restore and promote efficient movement and function, leading to improved productivity, health, and a better way life.  We believe that teaching a person how their body works, how to move and work efficiently, and how to restore overall health is the best way to prevent injuries and provide cost savings.  We are known by local workers as “The Body Mechanics” and are able to quickly evaluate and treat soft tissue discomforts before they become a lost time injury.  Our physical therapists, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers are registered in Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York, and have strong manual therapy expertise and ergonomic certification.  We are experienced industrial clinicians, which means we understand workers and can provide services with minimal disruption to the work cycle. We bring our expertise to you.

IHMS is owned and operated by partners Erica Galipeau and Charles Alexander.  In addition to running the business, the owners spend 60 to 80% of their time providing services to our customers.  The IHMS partners/managers are experts in the field of Industrial Rehabilitation and lecture around the world for Roy Matheson & Associates and OSHA.  They have worked together as team to achieve the success of IHMS.  They have hired a phenomenal staff who are able to work toward their mission each day in an atmosphere of camaraderie, humor, and advanced knowledge in their field.

THE PARTNERS:

Erica M. Galipeau, PT

President, Director of Operations, and a Founding Partner of IHMS - Erica was a student intern for Louise in the late 1990s. After her graduation from the University of Vermont in 1999, she was hired by Louise and worked under her supervision with a prior employer. After working successfully together for 3 years, Erica helped Louise with the early development of IHMS and was integral to starting and running of the business from the ground up. A registered Physical Therapist and Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist, she is a skilled manual therapist whose goal is to provide companies with top notch industrial rehabilitations. These services include injury prevention training, work risk assessments, job analysis, individual job site assessments and ergonomic consultations. Her focus is to help companies prevent injuries and help get their injured workers back to work quickly and safely. She is currently the onsite Physical Therapist and Ergonomic Specialist for UTC Aerospace Systems.

Charles J. Alexander, OTR/L

Sales Director and Partner - Charles was hired by IHMS in October of 2005, and in 2014, became a Partner. He is a licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Vermont, and has vast experience working with businesses on injury prevention efforts and ergonomics. His clinical focus has primarily been working with individuals who have work-related injuries and in ergonomics. He works closely with off-site facilities (Green Mountain Power, Perrigo, Rhino Foods, Twincraft Skincare, Bombardier, and Nova Bus/Volvo) in providing a mixture of onsite injury prevention programs. He is a Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist and Work Capacity Evaluator and is often contracted in the legal arena as an expert witness.
