Since beginning work with IHMS in July 2003, our Production employees have developed a culture of ergonomic awareness and injury prevention.  IHMS's Preventative Body Maintainance program has been an invaluable tool in recognizing and treating aches and pains before they become injuries.  The services offered by IHMS, including POPE screenings, PBM, on-site PT, and customized stretch & excercise routines have played an instrumental role in reducing repetitive trauma incident rates within the Production Department  by more than 50% and corresponding claims costs by 80%.

Working with the enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff at IHMS has been a rewarding partnership, which has surpassed all expectations.  We look forward to further expanding their services to other departments at Vermont Teddy Bear.

The IHMS staff has been wonderful to work with and has easily become part of the ECI Team. Our employees look forward to their visit, enabling them to seek treatment without the inconvenience of leaving work. Employees have become more proactive in dealing with small aches and pains before they turn into major injuries which could then leave them unable to work and incurring unnecessary medical expenses.

As an employer in the construction industry, we see this as an important strategy for minimizing any injuries (work-related and not), reducing potential workers comp and medical costs, and continuing to nurture a workforce that stays healthy and fit. IHMS meets individually with employees and also provides group presentations on stretching, nutrition, muscular/skeletal, etc. The PBM program is the perfect compliment to our wellness efforts and a win-win situation for everyone involved.
